Aquest 'matrimoni de fet', com ells descriuen l'experiència d'aquest treball conjunt, tenia molt clar que la ciutat que els ha vist nàixer seria la primera en veure'ls junts musicant aquest recull de versos dels poetes àrabs valencians dels segles X fins al XII. Un espectacle únic amb la música de Carles Dénia i el versos recitats per Josep Piera.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Fins ara, el cantant gandià, amb una llarga tradició musical, havia tractat estils musicals molt diversos, des del jazz, flamenc o el cant d'estil valencià, com va fer al seu darrer disc, Tan alta com va la lluna.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;En el nou treball, El Paradís de les paraules, el cantant torna a reprendre la música tradicional valenciana, però ara va més enllà i es retroba amb la cultura andalusí. 'Ha sigut un exercici de llibertat artística. Una meditació en què he intentat extraure dels poemes la música que portaven'. Un projecte que, segons diu, reuneix tota la saviesa musical i estilística que ha anat recollint durant la seua carrera.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;a name="more"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;Per a Josep Piera, que només té elogis per al seu paisà, 'Carles és la veu que fusiona aquests versos de poetes de fa mil anys. És la veu que aporta eixa modernitat, eixa emoció i sentiments que feien falta a aquests poemes i que encara no havien trobat'.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Grups com Al Tall, Urbàlia Rurana, o el cantant Miquel Gil ja havien musicat alguns versos aràbigo-valencians, però aquest Paradís de les paraules, segons Piera, 'és un treball complet, acoblat a la sensibilitat del cantant. Un treball millor que els que havien fet aquests grups, perquè aquests poemes arèbigo-valencians estaven esperant la veu de Carles Dénia, la seua manera de cantar i interpretar els textos, perquè aquests poemes són molt més intimistes, són poemes de jardí i no poemes de plaça'.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;El disc és la prova d'un ressorgiment de la música tradicional valenciana, que lluny d'ideologies i militància política pretén reunir textos i tradicions dels avantpassats que van viure a les terres valencianes i que hui en dia, sobretot la gent més jove, està acoblant-los a l'època actual, això sí, aportant la visió personal de cada grup o solista. Per a Josep Piera 'aquesta generació més jove està aportant una visió nova, no arqueològica'. El disc Paradís de les paraules es presenta hui a les 22.30 hores a la Casa de la Marquesa de Gandia. Tenim molt poques dades sobre la seua vida. ‎Sabem que no es va casar mai i que era sastre de retocs, un ofici ‎que li va permetre prescindir de mecenes i d’haver de recórrer a ‎elogiar els poderosos per guanyar-se la vida, una independència ‎de què es mostrava orgullós. ‎&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Ar-Ruṣāfī tingué la fama de ser el millor poeta del seu temps: els ‎seus poemes descriptius i bàquics són recollits en diverses ‎antologies. Era un poeta neoclàssic, culte i arcaïtzant. Va seguir ‎les petges d’Ibn u Ḫafāğah i d’Ibnu z-Zaqqāq. La seua formació, de la qual ‎no es parla, és la d’una esclava cantora i, com a virtuosa del llaüt, se ‎l’esmenta en les històries de la música àrab ‎, que es complauen a citar els ‎versos que li adreçà Abū ‘Āmir Muḥammad b. Yannaq [o Yanniq = Ènnec]‎ ‎, ‎metge de Xàtiva, mort a final de 547h/1153c, on la convida a sa casa ‎perquè toque el llaüt. In response to a distich sent her by ‎Abū ‘Āmir ibn Yannaq (&lt;i&gt;Anal.&lt;/i&gt;, II, p. 634) she went to the assembly of young literati, and ‎improvised:‎&lt;/div&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;‎1.‎ My lord, who have achieved a lordly glory,‎&lt;br /&gt;Of the finest make-up, noble pride:‎&lt;br /&gt;‎2.‎ The best proof of my hastening to your mağlis is that&lt;br /&gt;I myself am the reply coming with your messenger.‎&lt;/blockquote&gt;She wrote these lines on the back of Ibn Yannaq’s letter.‎&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;‎\ Rubiera / Epalza 1987, p. 162.‎&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;A la primera meitat del segle XII, apareix un altre poeta nascut a Xàtiva i una ‎il·lustre família de savis i estudiosos. Abu Àmir Ibn Iànnic portava un nom de família ‎d’origen cristià, muladí, ja que Iànnic és la transcripció d’Ínyic (Íñigo) [Énnec]. Aquest ‎poeta era metge, deixeble d’un dels Abenzoar, il·lustre família de metges andalussins, ‎un dels quals va viure a Xàtiva en el segle XII. Però Abu Àmir Ibn Iànnic era sobretot ‎poeta, ofici que no és incompatible amb la medicina. Un dels seus versos té l’interés de ‎ser un bitllet escrit a una esclava anomenada Hind, propietat d’Abu Muhàmmad ‎Abdàl·lah Ibn Maslama de Xàtiva. Aquesta esclava tocava el llaüt –recordem els músics ‎de la Pica de Xàtiva—i era també poetessa, única veu femenina a Xàtiva entre tants ‎homes que detentaven la cultura àrab oficial. Ibn Iànnic li va escriure invitant-la a ‎anar a casa seua, a tocar el llaüt, amb els versos següents:‎&lt;/div&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;‎«O Hind! ¿Voldries visitar uns joves‎&lt;br /&gt;que cap pecat no fan sinó beure vi lleuger?‎&lt;br /&gt;Han sentit cantar el rossinyol&lt;br /&gt;i han recordat les melodies de to greu&lt;br /&gt;del teu llaüt.»‎&lt;/blockquote&gt;Hind va respondre:‎&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;‎«O senyor!
